There’s an angel hiding amongst us
She's kind and caring and helpful
She’s always there when you need her
She understands and listens

She is never seen as an angel
Because her wings are hidden behind her back
And her halo taken off and kept in secret
Because she dulls her light with dark clothes

She doesn’t want people to know
So she hides herself so no one can tell
She never wants the attention on herself
She wants others to be the ones with bright lights

She is often portrayed as a demon
A heartless thoughtless killer
By the people she's there to help
And those who she has saved

The rest of us never notice her work
And how much she truly helps
Because she does everything to hide herself
Just to let the others shine
